About Almond (Miniature schnauzer) in Lenoir

Almond is waiting for you at Schnauzer Rescue of the Carolinas, Inc. in Lenoir, NC 28645. My name is ALMOND (SRC#3617) and I am 3--4 years old. I weigh approximately 19 pounds. I am a Mini Schnauzer with Natural Ears and a Docked Tail. My color is WHITE yet I do have a few wisps of chocolate also. I am now Neutered and was microchipped during my neuter surgery, so I need a couple more weeks before I am ready for placement. I have all my vaccinations up to date, am heart-worm negative, and will be evaluated for 2 - 6 weeks by my foster mom who is located in Roanoke, Virginia. Almond's Story ALMOND with this unique identification number: (SRC#3617 ) came into SRC care recently and is being prepared for adoption by a foster family who have gone thru our approval process. Almond is house-broken, crate trained and leash trained. He has received obedience training and he knows "sit" "lay down" "go potty" and "go to bed" (his crate) Almond is a sweet little boy who was purchased at 8 weeks by his Human mom. He was very loving toward her, and then she got married and had a child. It appeared that Almond took a back seat to the new family members, so Almond became aggressive with the husband and although he loved the child, this one was only 8 years old so there were times when Almond became unhappy and was beginning to be somewhat aggressive with the little boy. Almond needs to go to an adoptive home where he will be considered a family companion and loved. It probably would be much better if Almond was placed in an all female home. He does well with other dogs, and doesn't mind cats either. SRC believes that once he gets the attention he desires and vetting which he needs that these other situations will dissipate. Regardless Almond loves females so it would be best to get him placed in that type of situation. We at SRC just want him to have that loving home he deserves.
