He is incredibly devoted to his people and loves being close — whether he’s curled up right next to you, tucked into your side, or happily soaking up pets and belly rubs. He also enjoys being picked up and cuddled, making him the perfect little companion for someone who loves a snuggly dog. He does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys both gentle play and meeting new canine friends. Oriole thrives in a home where he can be part of the pack, though he will chase cats and would do best in a cat-free home. He can be sensitive to loud noises, quick movements, and overwhelming environments, so a quieter home will help him feel safe and secure. Oriole loves spending time outside and really enjoys having a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and show off his adorable morning zoomies. He also enjoys going on walks and is leash trained, though he should always be kept secure since he can slip out of a collar or harness if given the opportunity. He is crate trained and continues to do well with structure and routine. Oriole is very food motivated, which makes him fun to work with! He does not play with toys just yet, but he’s curious and continues to grow more comfortable exploring the world around him. Thunderstorms and loud commotion can be scary for him, so he’ll do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can provide reassurance and a calm environment. Oriole is truly one of the sweetest little dogs you’ll meet — affectionate, gentle, and happiest right by your side. He’s ready to find a loving home where he can feel safe, adored, and part of the family.
