Peach *Sweetest is waiting for you at Redemption Road Rescue in Minneapolis, MN 55428. Peach is a sweet Hound mix (with maybe some pit in her?). She is about 1.5 years old, and about 45 lbs. She is good with dogs, cats, kids. She along with Mango (sister) and Lemon(maybe sister?) were destined to head to a larger pound as they were in a tiny rural landfill pound in SE Kentucky, that only has 9 kennels. When this little outdoor pound with nine kennels fills up the dogs that have been there longer, get sent to the bigger pound to be euthanized upon intake. Peach and her family, had all survived on their own in the rural countryside for over a year! They were spotted along a country road multiple times. They were scrounging for food and just trying to survive, perhaps being dumped there by a previous owner. They were becoming skinny and malnourished and were eventually caught by kindly advocates who saved their life and brought them to this little shelter. A rescue plea was put out for them and we answered that call! We thought we needed to help support these girls who had fought so hard to survive in such unfair circumstances. Peach is well, just a "Peach!" It's an appropriate name for this sweet, kind, gentle and mellow girl. She responds so well to care, and is so grateful and content, when ever her basic needs are being met. Peach is great with other dogs, would make a good "sidekick" dog, a friend for your other dog. Peach is more of a "background dog" meaning she's not constantly demanding something, she is relaxed and adaptive. Peach is getting used to living in a home and could probably use some leash training, but she is eager to learn.
