About Opal in Montgomery County

Opal is waiting for you at Southern Comfort Animal Rescue in United States. ***Opal is being fostered by a loving family near Flemington, NJ. An application for her adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Opal and/or our adoption policy should be sent to [Coordonnées masquées]; please do not call the rescue's number.*** Here's what her foster mom writes: Opal is a sweet and happy girl. Her tail is always wagging, literally, her foster mom says it only stops when she's sleeping. And who can resist those extra big, extra expressive ears?? Opal's laid back and happy to hang out near by you; she's also great at keeping herself entertained with her toys. She gets along well with her foster sister, but opts out when she starts to play too rough. Foster mom says she's doing so well with all the puppy milestones (house training , crate training, leash walking, manners, etc.). Her only flaw? She gets a little to excited when humans come down to her level and will jump all over them to give lots and lots and lots of kisses. Opal and her brother, Ozzy, came to our rescue as owner surrenders. Born on Dec. 29, 2025, she was part of a litter of four pups. Unfortunately, one of the pups didn't survive and the owners elected to keep one of the pups. With the help of Fix GA Pets and the Shamrock Animal Welfare League of Laurens Co, her former owners had their mother spay. Opal is very playful and affectionate. She loves playing with other pups and loves showing off her affectionate side to all she meets. While at her former home, she began learning "sit" and other basic commands. With additional training and being very easy to train, she should make a great addition into just about any home. Opal has already received all three of her first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites on multiple occasions and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to hav
