She needs to gain some much needed weight. Harriet does fine with other dogs as long as they don't rush at her and respect that she choses not to play foolish games with the youngsters as she is an older lady that prefers no such foolishness. Harriet enjoys a soft, fluffy bed, attention and the finer things in life as she likely never had much in her former life. She is ready to find her furever home to live out her golden years in peace and quiet. They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash. You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.
