About Skyla- Loving Mama (Chihuahua) in Oakhurst

Skyla- Loving Mama is waiting for you at Wag On Inn Rescue in Oakhurst, NJ 07755. Meet Skyla Skyla’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came to us pregnant from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in South Jersey—but she’s ready to leave that past behind and start her next chapter. On January 23rd, Skyla welcomed her two beautiful puppies, Cash and Precious Chanel, into the world. She proved to be an incredible mom—fiercely protective, deeply devoted, and full of quiet strength. Through her, we’ve seen just how gentle and loving her soul truly is, even after everything she’s been through. Now that her puppies are growing, it’s finally Skyla’s turn to be cared for and cherished. With the help of her loving foster family, Skyla is slowly coming out of her shell. She’s begun exploring the yard, enjoying time with the resident dogs, and discovering the joy of affection. While she’s learning to trust and accept love, it’s clear she’s still figuring out this new, safer world at her own pace. Skyla would thrive in a calm, patient home—ideally with another friendly dog to help guide her and build her confidence. She’s looking for someone who understands that love, trust, and healing take time—and who is willing to give her the space and kindness she needs to truly blossom. Skyla’s story is one of resilience, and her future is full of possibility. She is a truly special girl who deserves a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and at peace. She will be brought up to date on vaccines prior to adoption. Wag On Inn will also arrange for spay and microchip as soon as her two puppies are weaned at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Her adoption donation is $450. - Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and trainin
