There's nothing scary about this sweet girl who has been patiently waiting for a family to call her own her whole life. She came from a tough start. Originally adopted by a teenager, she ended up in a home where the resident dog rejected her. Through it all, she never showed anything but quiet resilience and a gentle heart. For the past two years, a family friend has kept her safe, but it’s less than ideal. And what a beautiful soul she is. She absolutely loves being close to her people—she will gently come over and sit on your lap, she LOVES to join you in any car ride. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. Outdoors is where she lights up. She’ll happily explore the woods with you, roll around in fresh-cut grass like it’s the best thing ever and search for tennis balls hidden in tall grass. She’s even a fan of crabbing and sniffing around for water snakes—always curious, always enjoying life’s little adventures. But more than anything, she’s gentle. Truly gentle. Sweet, affectionate, and so grateful for love—even though she’s learned not to expect it. She doesn’t need perfection. She just needs someone willing to give her a chance—a soft place to land, a kind voice and a family to call her own.
