The shelter can be a scary place. At first, she was shy, a little reserved, and wasn't quite sure about having her head touched.But little by little, she's discovering that people can be pretty wonderful.Now, her favorite routine is to zoom around the yard to get her happy energy out, then trot over to lean against you for pets and affection. It's her quiet way of saying, `I trust you.`This petite beauty walks beautifully on leash, knows `sit,` and happily accepts treats. She also enjoys a good game of fetch...with one small twist. Candace has invented her own version, where she chases the ball, proudly carries it around, and strategically drops it somewhere that requires you to do the fetching. Fair's fair, right?Beneath her playful streak is a gentle soul who's learning to open her heart. With a little patience and kindness, Candace blossoms into a sweet, affectionate companion who will make every small moment feel special. She has shared a room with another social dog. If you have a dog who is looking for a friend, bring it to the shelter for a meet and greet to see if they are a match.To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
