*Sunflower is waiting for you at Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation in Sacramento, CA 95827. This little nugget is all about people. She loves attention and gets upset if someone walks away from her kennel by giving a quick bark. Inside, she is a sweet, slightly shy dog. She can be stubborn and a little lazy by baulking on leash walks in perceived unfriendly territory. Contrary to her name, Sunflower being a bully is very heat sensitive and prefers shorter walks in cooler weather. She is more of a couch potato that a fitness freak and will benefit from a patient adopter who will help her re-build her confidence and provide lots of chill time. This cutie pie recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. She wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
