Aoife is waiting for you at Pet Haven Inc. of MN in Saint Paul, MN 55103. Aoife (pronounced EE-fa) is a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound pit bull mix who loves being close to her people. She’s a calm, affectionate girl who loves cuddles and gentle companionship. While she may be a little shy at first, once she settles in, her sweet and loving personality truly shines!Aoife is house-trained and crate-trained, staying in her crate for a few hours at a time. She is usually pretty quiet and makes for an excellent roommate. She makes the cutest little pig-like snorts when she eats or sniffs around, and she occasionally gets the zoomies. She's got some puppy-like behaviors that will benefit from continued gentle training.She doesn't have a lot of experience with other dogs, but she seems curious and social when making friends. She doesn't seem very interested in cats. She may need proper introductions with children due to her jumpiness though she is not aggressive.Despite her young age, Aoife has a refreshingly low-key energy level. She enjoys leisurely walks where she can sniff to her heart’s content and doesn’t require intense exercise. She walks nicely on leash and is easy to redirect if she gets a little curious. At home, she’s a fan of enrichment toys like Kongs, lick mats, and puzzle feeders, anything involving snacks is a win!Aoife is looking for a calm environment where she can feel safe and continue to blossom.
