He does excellent on walks and is excited to meet the other dogs he passes, which is why we think he would thrive in a home with a puppy friend to show him the world isn’t so scary! He has been non-reactive to our cats-he doesn’t even stop them from eating food out of his bowl. He’s pretty content to curl up in his bed at his foster home and just watch the goings on of the house. Cashew seems to be in excellent health, has had no accidents in the house, is not destructive, and does not bark. He’s the ideal temperament-his foster would adopt him this minute but are holding out hope he can join a family with another puppy as they think that’s where he would be the happiest! If you are looking for a canine companion for your dog, Cashew would love to meet you! 03/21/26 14:00Cashew is a sweet, gentle soul who finds the world to be an overwhelming and scary place. In his foster home he has been living with women, men, and cats. He has shown more fear towards men than women, but displays no aggressive behavior, and will allow handling from men he has gotten to know. He has been non-reactive to cats. Cashew has been in foster for a few weeks now after being extremely shut down in the shelter environment. He is still fearful of exploring and is content to lay on his bed and nap most of the day. He does have to be carried out the door to go to the bathroom, but once he gets outside has been pretty good about doing his business once he had acclimated to the yard. He has not had any accidents inside the house, except once when a loud noise really scared him (on his first day there). Cashew needs a bit of coaxing to cross the property line but once he does walks extremely well on leash during quieter times of the day (early morning and late night). He does okay on walks du
