About Gunnar (Bull terrier) in San Jose

Gunnar is waiting for you at San Jose Animal Care Center in San Jose, CA 95111. Introducing Gunnar, the people-loving pup with an infectious happy wiggle-bum! Gunnar is a bundle of energy and adores playtime, especially with his treasured stuffed toys. He might have missed out on toys in his past, which is why he occasionally likes to hang on to them.Gunnar enjoys socializing with other dogs in playgroups, although he can get a bit too excited during walks when he spots a canine friend. Gunnar has a strong sit and a motivation for treats which will help make training fun! Gunnar would love an active home with ample physical and mental stimulation and without young children.10/30/23 17:47Reason animal needs rescue: Behavior, extended length of stayType: BehaviorDate animal needs rescue by: ASAPAdditional notes: Gunnar has been in the shelter since 11/2022. We continue to seek placement for him, because he continues to decline in the shelter, and is now exhibiting signs of severe kennel stress. He has been on Urgent Needs Rescue since the beginning of August. He has been placed on medical management for anxiety, but that is not a long term solution. For his health and wellbeing, we are strongly recommending a rescue pull him.SD08/
