Joy Doglando Training Camp is waiting for you at Pet Rescue By Judy in Sanford, FL 32771. Meet JoyJoy, and companion, SKY, came to PRBJ from a partnering rescue group in Puerto Rico. Since these sweet pups were found on their own living in the streets no one knows what they have experienced. They were living in a foster home in PR for a short time before they took their flight to FL. So being with humans caring for them is newer and Joy still is nervous when meeting people or being in new situations. She will need a patient owner to help her feel safe. We believe she would do well in a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes and help her understand what it is like to be part of a family. Joy does seem to be more outgoing when she has her sister or another friendly pup to hang out with and play. She is more comfortable around women vs men. She does seem to like children although she does not really respond well to the loud sounds like screaming and yelling. Foster Update: Joy is a sweet girl who loves being around other dogs. She is beginning to come out of her shell but remains shy and can be startled by loud noises. Having other dogs around helps her feel more confident, and she really opens up in their company.She is still cautious around new people but is learning to trust and is starting to enjoy cuddles. Once she feels comfortable, her playful personality shines through. She can be nervous on walks, especially when another dog is not nearby, so she will benefit from continued training, patience, and encouragement.Joy does well in a crate and is partially house-trained. As her confidence grows and she becomes more comfortable going outside, she is expected to make great progress. Joy is currently attending puppy training classes to learn basic skills and prepare for life in her forever home.
