Hello humans, The name is Mooshu (not the dragon) and I am only 10 years old (not hundreds of years old like my namesake). I am a legend in my own right with a bit of a sadder story. When I was a puppy, I was well-loved by my owner but was not given any boundaries or properly trained. I got to do what I wanted and when I wanted. My owner was a foster parent and had kids in and out of the home quite a lot, which overwhelmed me and now I am not comfortable with being in a house with several people. My ideal home would only have one human, preferably a female. Since I can be overwhelmed and uncomfortable with several humans sharing the same space as me, I would prefer to have a safe space I can go to while my future owner has company. Maybe my safe space can be in your room in a nice comfortable fancy crate. I would also prefer to have a home where I don't have to share with another animal. My first owner didn't socialize me with other dogs so I don't have the appropriate social skills to share a home with another animal. I can be a little picky of humans I can trust as my life started out pretty hectic and I really just preferred my owner and no one else. I am the kind of dog, where I would need some date nights with my potential adopter so I know they will be a good person to me. I believe that would make the CARA staff more comfortable knowing I've spent some time with my future owner before going home with them. While pondering what kind of person I would like to be my adopter, I think I would like to have a single female who is laid back and has a calm personality and doesn't mind spending evenings with me.
