Animal Profile: Marc Anthony is a 2.5-year-old, 50 lb neutered male hound mix who has had an amazing glowup during his nearly 2 year-long stay in foster care. With the guidance of his wonderful foster/trainer, Tayah of To the Point Dog Training, he has blossomed into a confident, social, and well-mannered young dog who is truly shines wherever he goes. This smart, athletic, and loyal boy has worked hard to build his skills and confidence. In his foster home, Marc has mastered leash walking (both on and off leash), crate training, potty training, and basic obedience. He enjoys structure and consistency, and he thrives when given clear guidance and opportunities to engage his mind and body. One of Marc Anthony’s greatest successes has been his growth in social confidence. He now greets new dogs with ease and has developed excellent canine social skills, learning the rhythms of pack life with maturity and respect. It’s hard to believe that this is the same dog who once arrived fearful of strangers, especially children, and reactive to unfamiliar sights and experiences. His progress is a true testament to his resilience and willingness to trust again. Marc thrives with both mental and physical enrichment and is happiest when he has something purposeful to do. He would do best in a home with calm, consistent leadership and would enjoy living with other dogs, though he could also succeed as an only dog if given regular opportunities for structured socialization. He is not suited for a home with cats or small children. With continued guidance, Marc Anthony will be a deeply loyal, playful, and devoted companion.
