About Romper (Labrador retriever) in Seattle

Romper is waiting for you at Dog Gone Seattle Rescue in Seattle, WA 98125. Animal Information: Romper is an estimated 4 month 35 lb male mixed breed puppy; he's not going to be a large dog. Just a little chonky and floppy! He's been hanging with our friends at Saving Shelter Strays in TX waiting for his one-way ticket to Seattle. He is a dream dog, oh so charming and sweet. He loves everyone he meets: dogs, cats, all humans. He loves to romp with other dogs but is usually the first to crash and happy to be used as a pillow. Silly, loving, easy going, stumpy and smushy - Romper will make someone very happy. We look forward to getting to know him in foster care and finding his forever. Foster Profile: Romper is a sweet and chill pup. He is friendly with all people and is eager to snuggle up in your lap. He walks great on the leash and doesn’t seem to bark much. When he does bark he lets out a cute howl bark. Romper is potty trained and will sit by the door when he wants to go out. He has only had one accident in the house when he first arrived. He is crate trained and currently sleeps in his crate all night without a peep. While he can be independent hanging on his bed with a toy, he mostly wants to be near his human. He hangs by the kitchen when you’re cooking and wants to lay on you or be near you when watching TV. He does get excited when sees or hears a dog on the TV screen, it’s very cute. Romper currently resides with my 6lb pomchi mix. They are learning to cohabitate, but often I see them sleeping near each other or ganging up together when the mailman comes or the Amazon delivery driver. I do think Romper would do best in a home as either a solo dog or with a mid size to large bread dog. He still has puppy tendencies and throws his big paws around. He sometimes mouths your hand or arm but is easily corrected with a “no” and a redirect to a toy. We are working on passing other dogs on leashes, basic commands, and some puppy mischief behavior.
