This handsome 94-pound Rottweiler is a walking bundle of happiness who never got the memo that he's supposed to act serious. Instead, Smokey approaches life with a wagging tail, a goofy grin, and enough enthusiasm to brighten even the toughest day. He's the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly becomes the life of the party. Smokey has a medium to high energy level and would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs, play, and enjoy life with a canine buddy or two. He gets along well with other dogs and can take corrections when he gets a little too excited. His social skills are still a work in progress, but his heart is absolutely in the right place. This big guy is very treat motivated and already knows basic obedience, making him a fun dog to continue training with. He walks well on leash most of the time, but fair warning: when Smokey decides something is exciting, his impressive strength can make an appearance. Luckily, he's eager to learn and loves having a job to do. Despite his football-player size, Smokey is truly just a giant goofball who wants friends, fun, and a family to call his own. He arrived a little underweight and could use a few extra helpings at dinner time to get back to his healthiest self. Fortunately, snacks are one of his favorite subjects, so he's fully committed to this mission.
