She is smart, and already knows some commands. She is gentle, especially when taking treats. And she is playful, and LOVES to go for a ride in the car and play fetch. Lucy is good with kids, but due to her large size would do better with kids over the age of 5. Lucy is very active, and will need a yard to run around. She loves to chase squirrels and go on long hikes with her foster mom. Lucy gets along with SOME dogs, but not with ALL dogs. She’d thrive as an only dog, or living with an older quieter dog. If another dog is in the home, a meet and greet is required. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet girl. She adores people and can’t wait to meet her forever family! Lucy is HW positive and will receive treatment while she is with us. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
