Adopted from ICAS eight short months ago, 11 month old Riley comes back as an owner surrender, after an incident involving his family’s 3 year old resulted in a minor bite. His previous family let us know that their small child repeatedly got in Riley’s face attempting to hug him after being told not to do so multiple times. After seeing this, they made the hard decision to surrender Riley to us in hopes of finding him a more suitable home and we will work to make sure that is one with no small children. His previous family also made sure to let us know that Riley is great with older children, other dogs and even with cats! They told us that his best qualities are that he is very good and is a friendly boy. He knows sit, is both housebroken AND crate trained and is ready for family life again! He has met a similar in size spayed female since his arrival and was super sweet, going up and sniffing her nose, giving sweet little licks! She was a little shy otherwise, but he did amazing! Such a sweet boy! He loves cuddles and will climb into a lap in a heartbeat, given any opportunity, to get as many cuddles as he can! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all. All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness.
