Spade is waiting for you at Iredell County Animal Services and Control Department in Statesville, NC 28677. Spade comes to us as an owner surrender after our ACO received a call from a neighbor about him being out again, and that this has been happening a lot lately. It was learned upon arrival to speak with his owner, that Spade’s beloved dad had passed away a short time ago and that his mom was not able to handle him, given her health. She said that his dad was the only one who was able to, given his size and she was hopeful we could help Spade. So, now Spade is here looking for a fresh start and you can tell by the pictures of him and ACO Mahaffey, he is one handsome, affectionate and sweet big guy!!Big sweet Spade is now here after losing both his home and family and at six years of age, he is ready for his best life with no more change! He is VERY housebroken and walks wonderfully on a leash. He met a smaller spayed female while here and walked right up to his new friend giving her all the sniffs! This big and goofy guy wants to see all the people, which probably explains his need to visit his neighbors! He is a social butterfly! He is always excited to meet people, speaking to everyone like he is running for mayor! He is super sweet and ready to be a beloved family member/couch potato once again and this adorable guy absolutely deserves it. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children are recommended to ensure a good fit for all! We have no information how he may do with cats and have no way to test for that. Come and meet this adorable guy in person to see if he is the newest addition to your family!
