He was surrendered to our rescue through no fault of his own, and now he's ready to find the family that will love him forever. Professional Explorer Gumbo believes every day is an adventure waiting to happen. His mornings start bright and early with a nice walk, followed by what he considers his full-time job: exploring the backyard. Birds? He'll chase them. Butterflies? Absolutely. Deer by the creek? He's keeping watch just in case they appear. Sprinklers and garden hoses? Those are his sworn enemies, and he bravely battles them every chance he gets... even if he always ends up soaking wet. When he's not patrolling the yard, you'll find him playing fetch, zooming around with his doggy sister, or proudly carrying his favorite toy—his human brother's soft Nerf football. Gumbo also has a special appreciation for plush toys... and sometimes he mistakes blankets, pillows, sweaters, and socks for oversized plushies, so it's best to keep the laundry picked up!
