Name: Lindy Best Guess for Breed: Heeler and retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of May 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 28 lbsSpecial Adoption Considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- this dog would do better with another dog in the home to give her confidence. Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Lindy is Looking For: Her forever home! This pretty girl and her sister Lida enjoyed growing up together but now they'e ready to split up and get their own homes. She is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say?
