Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Sarabi is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. Sarabi is Looking For: Her forever home! Sarabi is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She did an amazing job of raising her babies Sophie, Sarah and Spencer, and they're off to get their own homes. It is now Sarabi's turn to get her own forever family! She came from a situation where she saw very little of the world - she's eager to explore it by the side of her new humans. Sniffy walks and lots and lots of cuddles - that's high on her list. And she needs a welcoming resident dog who will show her how to dog! Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. What My Foster Says About Me: Sarabi is building her confidence daily and has warmed up quickly to her new environment. She is a curious and alert girl with a playful, quirky side, complete with a funny little trot, joyful rug rolls, and the cutest stretch routine after naps. She enjoys relaxing in her crate or lounging on a nearby couch. While she may occasionally show a bit of hesitation if handled when she's not in the mood, she is overall a great pup who brings a lot of charm and sweetness to the home.
