We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Summer is Looking For: Her forever home! Summer landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and she's eager to once again have her own humans. For sniffy walks and world exploration and quality kibble and a cushy dog bed, yes. But as an experienced dog, she knows what's most important in life: Knowing where she belongs, being safe and loved. What do you say? Are you her fresh start? Is she the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Summer is low-to-medium energy at home and spends most of her time snoozing the day away. That said, walks are her absolute favorite thing; as soon as I grab her leash, she literally starts squealing with excitement. Summer loves being outside so much that she often will paw at the door to ask for a walk, even if we just came back inside from one. She walks easily on leash and would love an adopter who will take her for long sniffy walks or hikes. Summer is a constant companion in that she's always down for whatever adventure I bring her on, nothing phases her and she's always up to explore. At home, she generally likes to be in the same room as me, but she's also pretty independent and isn't a velcro dog. She's very confident, but easy going, especially with other dogs. She enjoys the dog park (mostly for the sniffs rather than playing) and does well with my grumpy 15 year old resident dog and her 6 year old foster sister.
