Name: Zeal Best Guess for Breed: Terrier and lab mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of April 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 25 lbs as of 3/29/26; she is growing slowly and her weight didn't go up much in the month before March 29 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Zeal is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie is one of a litter of three - Zippy, Zest, and Zeal. Her sisters have already found their homes, and this cutie wants one her own too. This young pup wants to see the world and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up - and to make pup pals along the way. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. She has really broken out of her shell and has a great personality. She is very food motivated and extremely smart! She learned how to sit in about 20 minutes. When she isn’t running around the yard she is a very calm puppy. She minds her business with her toys for most of the day or sleeps. She does very well on her leash, and has been working hard on her house training! Zeal would be a wonderful addition to any family! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
