She came to us as a stray, appearing to have spent some time fending for herself. Underweight and longing for kindness, this sweet girl was searching for more than just her next meal—she was searching for someone to love her. Today, Marigold has gained healthy weight, her beautiful personality is blooming, and she’s ready to find a family of her very own. Marigold is still learning what it means to be a beloved companion, and she’s looking for a family that will offer her patience, grace, and gentle guidance as she experiences many “firsts.” Every day she grows a little more confident, and watching her discover the world is incredibly rewarding. This happy girl absolutely adores attention and has so much love to give. She may be a little reserved when meeting some men at first, but with a little time and a few kind words, her sweet nature quickly shines through. Marigold has participated in several dog meet-and-greets and has shown herself to be friendly, playful, and eager to make canine friends. We think she’d enjoy a dog companion who matches her playful energy, and we’re always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before adoption. Young, active, and full of curiosity, Marigold loves going for walks, carrying around stuffed toys, chewing on rubber toys, and following her nose wherever it leads. Because of the shelter environment, we’re not able to confirm that she’s fully potty trained, so her future family should expect to help her learn the routines of home life with consistency and positive reinforcement.
