Like many intelligent working breeds, Chico values his personal space and isn't always a fan of being handled or restrained. He can be sensitive about certain interactions and will do best with an experienced owner who understands dog body language and is willing to build trust at his pace. Chico is looking for a patient, confident adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement training. In return, he'll be a devoted companion with plenty of character and spirit. Because of his handling sensitivities, a home without young children may be the best fit.
