That's what it feels like to touch Chouchou the Chinchilla! Goregous fur aside, chinchillas are fun, energetic pets that make great compainions. But chinchillas also have very specific needs. First, chinchillas can live 20+ years so they are a big commitment and a long-term pet. Another special need of chinchillas is regular dust baths (using specially formuated products) for their fur and air conditioning in the summer is a must to prevent them from overheating with their dense fur! Aside from these special needs, chinchillas require care common of rodents such as daily out-of-cage time, enrichment, safe chew toys, and socialization. Furby hasn't had a lot of human interaction in his life so he is still learning to trust people and would love a home that is patient and understaning of this. We do require a photo of the enclosure you have prepared before adoption, this enclosure would be a minimum of 2' x 3' x 4' wire cage.
