About Dill (Silver fox) in Lakeville

Dill is waiting for you at Rabbit Rescue of MN in Lakeville, MN 55044. Hey, I’m Dill. I’m the silver in the pictures and make up the other half of the dynamic Kosher-and-Dill duo. Kosher’s the boss — wherever she goes, I follow — usually at a slight distance, because she likes to be in charge and isn’t shy about letting me know. She nips, I retreat — it’s a dance we’ve perfected. We don’t fight, though. We’re really close, we spend hours grooming and laying next to each other, and watching our human with laser focus. No, seriously — we stare. A lot. For those reasons, we must be adopted together. If Kosher is the energy, I’m the exhale — gentle, mellow, and totally content watching the world go by. I may be a bit skittish at first, but once I get a sense of who you are, I warm up quickly. I love being petted — especially head scratches — and I’ll stretch right out and soak it in. Sometimes I get so relaxed, my third eyelid makes a little appearance. Don’t worry, it’s just me being my weird, laid-back self. I’m not super high-energy, but I do like enrichment. I enjoy treat puzzles, treat balls, hay-filled paper bags, and flower mixes. I even know tricks like spin, stand, jump, and high five — especially if there’s a banana chip or Oxbow treat involved. I’m usually calm and collected, but I can get overwhelmed by busy environments or unfamiliar animals. I’ve nipped a few rabbits at group events, so I’d do best in a home without other pets or children. I don’t need constant attention, but I do appreciate gentle, daily interaction. I tolerate being picked up but prefer staying on solid ground. My litter box habits are a bit of a work in progress — I usually do well, but I’ll occasionally have a pee accident. It’s not every day, but something to keep an eye on. I’m also prone to a little eye watering on one side. My duct was flushed by the vet and should be fine long-term. I eat Oxbow Essentials pellets in the morning and a fresh mix of spring greens in the evening
