Feather* is waiting for you at Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter in Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Meet Feather, the fluffy black kitten. Feather came into the Shelter with his mom Heather and two siblings Barley and Wheaton. It took this family a few days to acclimate but with time, they have shown that they love soaking up attention. Feather is the most shy of the trio but is gaining confidence with regular TLC from staff and volunteers. A cat-savvy adopter who will let Feather decompress and bond through play and enrichment will set this cutie up for success. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Feather should be indoors only after adoption for his safety (as well as that of our local wildlife).Feather is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day.
