Boondoggle is waiting for you at Doggie Protective Services in Sun City, CA 92585. * This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 1st from 12–3 PM (unless adopted prior to the event). All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Adoption fee: $650 Meet Boondoggle! If you believe the quiet dogs often have the biggest hearts, then Boondoggle is ready to prove you right. This adorable 1-2 year old, 16-pound mix (our best guess is Beagle/Chihuahua, but your guess is as good as ours!) has the softest coat you'll ever pet— and an equally soft, gentle soul. Rescued from a shelter, Boondoggle is the kind of dog who doesn't rush into new situations. Instead, he quietly observes, takes his time, and once he decides you're one of his people, you'll discover an incredibly loyal companion who simply wants to be by your side. A Day in the Life Boondoggle starts his day bright and early around 6:00 a.m. alongside his foster mom. They head outside for a quick potty break before breakfast, and while he's still building confidence outdoors, he's happiest returning home where he feels safe and secure. He's not much of a foodie and prefers to graze throughout the day, slowly working his way through about a cup of kibble rather than eating it all at once. Most of his day is spent doing what he does best— lounging peacefully near his favorite person. Whether his foster is working, relaxing, or moving from room to room, Boondoggle is content simply keeping her company. At bedtime, he sleeps on a cozy spot on the bedroom floor, occasionally hopping onto the bed for a quick cuddle before returning to his own sleeping place.
